THE ROLE:
A leading national law firm is looking to recruit a Defendant Clinical Negligence Solicitor or NQ Solicitor to join its established Healthcare team in Birmingham. You will manage a diverse caseload of complex clinical negligence claims, including high-value matters, acting primarily for private insurers.

The role will involve managing claims from inception through to resolution, providing legal advice, developing case strategies and drafting pleadings, witness statements and other relevant documentation. You will work closely with clients, medical professionals and expert witnesses, as well as attending court hearings, mediations and settlement negotiations where required. There will also be opportunities to contribute to business development and support the continued growth of the team.

THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with at least 1 year's PQE in Defendant Clinical Negligence. NQ Solicitors will also be considered, provided they have gained specialist clinical negligence experience during their training contract or previous positions.

Experience of handling complex clinical negligence claims is essential. You will have strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills, together with the ability to manage a busy caseload and deliver high-quality legal advice. A commercially aware and proactive approach, combined with a genuine interest in developing your career within Defendant Clinical Negligence, is essential.
