CRIMINAL SOLICITOR (PRIVATE CRIME), 3+ YEARS PQE, BERKSHIRE, £45,000 - £60,000 (DOE)

THE ROLE:
You will have a varied caseload which will include:
• Advising and representing clients in criminal matters, including providing legal representation at police stations and court proceedings.
• Drafting legal documents, including correspondence, proofs, witness statements and pleadings.
• Case preparation, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and liaising with the Crown Prosecution Service.
• Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and other professionals within the criminal justice system.
• Advising clients in Magistrates’ and Crown Courts, as well as other tribunals and appellate courts, as required.
• Providing comprehensive legal advice to clients, conduct case analysis, and collaborate with external professionals such as Barristers, forensic experts, and investigators to build a robust defence.
• Representing clients in disciplinary tribunals, court proceedings, including bail hearings, pre-trial conferences, plea negotiations, trials.
THE CANDIDATE:
You will have a good grounding in all aspects of criminal law and be passionate about building a private criminal practice.
You will manage your own caseload, assist with business development and supporting junior members of the team.
