JOB TITLE: PI/Clinical Negligence Paralegal
PQE REQUIRED: 1+ years’ experience
LOCATION: Warwickshire
SALARY: £21,000-£27,000 DOE.

THE ROLE:
This is an exciting new opportunity to join this large Warwickshire law firm. The paralegal will join this successful department, who has gone from strength to strength during the pandemic. The role will involve supporting fee earners directly with medical negligence and personal injury matters. You will be drafting court documents, contacting GP’s and hospitals to obtain medical records, preparing preliminary witness statements and case summaries as well as drafting schedules of loss and negotiating settlements. You will also be responsible for running and managing a caseload from start to conclusion of Personal Injury matters.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal Paralegal for this role will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a busy medical negligence team. You must also have had experience of running your own caseload of personal injury matters and be confident with matters from inception to conclusion. You will have excellent communication skills and be highly organised. You must be empathetic and be sensitive to sometimes traumatic periods of a client’s life. The firm are looking for a a go getter and someone who thrives working within a busy and fast paced environment. You must have experience of dealing with portals.
