JOB TITLE: Senior Costs Draftsperson
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 4+ years
SALARY: Competitive, commensurate experience
As a senior costs draftsperson you will have full responsibility for your own team of cost lawyers. You will be responsible for managing and delegating work where appropriate on bill checking, file reviews, quality control, file reviews and performance reviews. You will also be working on contentious legal costs work, attending courts and tribunals on behalf of both clients and the firm when required. It will be your responsibility to ensure that all members of your team have the training and resources required to be able to work effectively and progress their careers.
We are looking for a senior costs draftsperson, ideally with experience in a deputy costs manager role or similar. Candidates will ideally have a Law Costs Drafting qualification or be working towards one. Sound technical abilities are a must and a knowledge of Legal Aid Regulations and Civil Procedure Rules is also desirable. Most importantly, candidates must have a clear aptitude for effective team management and development.
