THE ROLE:

Our client’s private client department is thriving and has established a strong reputation in the local market for the client centric and technical legal advice they provide in relation to a full spectrum of private client work. The successful Private Client Partner will handle a varied caseload with a particular focus on complex tax and trusts matters. A significant amount of the work this firm’s private client department undertake is on behalf of high net worth clients making this opportunity perfect for a senior Private Client Solicitor looking for high quality and challenging work.  In addition, as a Private Client Partner in the department, the successful Solicitor will be expect to assist in leading a team and become actively involved in business development.

 

THE CANDIDATE:

Our client is looking to recruit a senior Private Client Solicitor with at least ten years of post qualification experience gained working in private client. The role will either be suited to a Private Client Solicitor who is already a Partner at their current firm or who is looking to make the next step into their career to Partner. Any following would be a distinct advantage and it is essential that the Private Client Partner can demonstrate experience of business development and a strong network of contacts in the local area. Qualification as a tax advisor or a strong interest in the tax side of private client would be an advantage and any experience that can be demonstrated of complex tax matters will be welcome. STEP qualification or the commitment to acquire this is required for the role. In addition, it is important to our client that the Private Client Partner can demonstrate that they are keen to be a team player, have the supervisory skills to work with junior members of the team and above all, have a solid understand of the sensitive nature of the work they are undertaking.
