This exceptional opportunity will see you joining a leading Pensions team who advises trustees of Defined Benefit or Hybrid schemes, they also advise employers, insolvency practitioners and individuals.  Pensions is one of this leading firms core areas and they are keen to recruit a solicitor who is looking to forge a career in this area of law.  You will be expected to clients on all aspects of pensions law including group reorganisations and mergers, scheme design and benefit changes, scheme closure, liability reductions exercises and general Pensions & Finance Acts matters.  It is also an important part of the position that you are you involved in business development initiatives.



The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and deliver excellent service to clients/colleagues, coupled with a good eye for detail and be able to work under time constraints and prioritise work load. Great communication skills are a must along with previous experience of pensions law, where you will have either completed a seat in pension law and recently qualified or have gained up to years PQE experience in a Pensions team.  It is essential that you have good knowledge of contentious pensions matters including professional negligence claims, rectification applications and disputes between trustees and sponsoring employers.
