Regulatory and Insurance Solicitor - Birmingham – Global law firm is on the lookout for a Regulatory and Insurance Solicitor to aid in their busy team in Birmingham. Recognised as a highly respected provider of commercial services across the UK and Globally, this established firm is need of someone to come in and handle a mixed caseload of regulatory and commercial litigation matters. You will be joining a market leading team who deals with all aspects of litigation and the whole regulatory spectrum including but not limited to health and safety issues, trading standards, food safety and financial litigation work. Candidates will ideally have strong insurance regulation and/or commercial insurance experience gained in a leading regional or City firm, with a deep understanding of the technical issues that are key to the clients. You will be drafting documents using a commercial, client focussed style, complying with professional standards and all relevant regulatory obligations, with a confident and enthusiastic approach to how best utilise information and research resources. The successful Solicitor will work directly with partners and teams across the international firm and in the US and will require strong academics combined with an interest in insurance, and a willingness to explore the depths of complex problems facing clients in the sector. You will be confident in building business and networking and will thrive within a team environment. A background in insurance regulation or other areas of FS regulation and/or Lloyd's/London market experience would be helpful, but not essential. However our client is open to receiving details of candidates who offer transferable skills from another area of legal practice and the enthusiasm to become an expert quickly.
