JOB TITLE: Marine Paralegal
This legal 500 recommended and Top 150 law firm are seeking an Marine Paralegal to join there ever expanding team. The appointed Marine Paralegal will assist this well regarded team with a caseload that principally comprises of legal expense insurance claims and providing support on large and complex marine claims. The role will require you to respond to telephone calls on a legal helpline, assess and process uninsured loss claims, reporting to the insurer client and the insured, pursue claims against third parties and recover sums due to the client. You may also handle some non-contentious matters and provide support on vessel sale and purchase transactions.
As a successful candidate previous experience in Shipping insurance, yachting, shipping and transport litigation would be desirable but not essential, however you should have a genuine interest in developing a career in this area of law. You will be enthusiastic, have excellent communication skills, be able to easily build rapport with clients and be highly organised. You will also be highly motivated and strive to provide an outstanding level of service to all clients.
