Family Solicitor, West Yorkshire - Well established local firm requires an additional Family Solicitor to join the busy Family team.

JOB TITLE:      Family Solicitor

PQE:                   At least 12 months PQE

LOCATION:     West Yorkshire

SALARY:         Depending on skills and experience

 

THE ROLE:

This busy high street firm is looking to recruit an additional Family Solicitor to the team. The Family Solicitor will be responsible for their own caseload of Family and Matrimonial work, handling their own advocacy and play a key role in the continued development of the Family Department and wider firm in general. The Family Solicitor will be dealing with predominantly privately funded matters.

 

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful Family Solicitor will ideally at least 12 months experience handling privately funded Family law matters, including divorce, children and domestic violence, and be confident handling their own advocacy. Membership of Resolution would be a distinct advantage as would an understanding of the legal aid process. Newly qualified Solicitors will be considered however you must have at least 12 months experience working in Family law gained as during your training contract and as a paralegal. As well as a strong technical background, it is vital that the Family Solicitor has a commercial focus to their work and takes a proactive approach to business development.
