JOB TITLE: Family Paralegal
This is an exciting position which will see you working closely with other members of the family team in this Top 200 leading practice. You will be dealing with the legal and ancillary elements of cases which will include drafting documents and letters under supervision, attend court with Counsel, take meeting notes, prepare agendas and case strategies. The main purpose of the role will be to assist in delivering practical services that are focused on the client's needs and quick turnaround of matters dealt with by the team. An excellent opportunity to develop your legal knowledge and skills and knowledge of the court process.
Previous legal experience in Family law would be very advantageous, however candidates who have other legal experience will be considered if you have a keen interest in developing their skills/experience in Family law. You ideally have experience of working as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal. It is essential that you have a good standard of general education, specifically, English Language and Maths, good customer service skills including a confident telephone manner, good verbal and written communication skills and a good standard of knowledge of computer packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and any legal software.
You must also have an ability to work under pressure to deadline with excellent attention to detail being able to prioritise workload and re-schedule as required.
