JOB TITLE: Employment Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 0-2
This exciting new opportunity will involve working on a range of contentious and non-contentious matters including general employment advisory work, the handling of employment tribunal claims, whistleblowing, high profile cases, advising on reorganisation and redundancy issues and the application of healthcare legislation to routine employment law scenarios. You will join an established employment team servicing a range of healthcare organisations – from NHS organisations through to independent healthcare providers. The department is able to provide legal advice and training on the full range of employment law issues, from board level to generalist HR practitioner and has a reputation for handling the most sensitive and high-profile employment law cases.
The successful Employment Solicitor should have good client handling skills and be able to work well with other team members. Whilst previous experience in the field of healthcare or public sector is strongly preferred, it is not essential. Candidates will however be expected to be able to demonstrate at interview that they are self-motivated and commercially minded, as well as having good interpersonal skills and being able to work effectively in teams.
