JOB TITLE: Commercial Solicitor

An excellent opportunity for a talented Commercial solicitor to join a high regarded Legal 500 recommended firm that is continue to grow in stature in the local and wider market place in Yorkshire. This role offers a interesting and challenging mix of commercial and IP work and the appointed commercial solicitor will benefit from their own caseload from day one. You will be given exposure to the very best quality work, as the client base is an impressive mix of businesses, individuals and other more diverse organisations. You will have responsibilty for clients and for providing commercially astute advise on issues such as commercial agreements, terms and conditions of trading, data protection and IP rights. You will be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of commercial work and will be able to work relatively autonomously, although there will be plenty of resource to give you any development and training that you may require. Ideally you will have experience with IP matters, but our client is also interested in speaking to individuals you have strong commercial know-how but want to explore opportunities that offer an IP element to the role. More importantly our client is seeking team oriented candidates who will thrive within this highly personal department. Here people are encourged to play a role in many additional aspects such as business development initiatives in the local community and corporate support activities the firm promotes.
