OVERVIEW:

This commercial real estate team  is a core practice area for the firm offering legal support and advice to a top quality and varied client base. These include institutions, property developers, occupiers, public sector bodies and pension funds. The firm provide a whole host of comprehensive and expert services including the following: acquisitions and disposals including auctions, options, overage and clawback, development infrastructure and site assembly, funding, finance and securities, commercial lettings, landlord and tenant management issues, planning, dispute resolution, construction and environmental law, Green Leases and waste management. The department has a vast array of experience in many sectors including: investment property, NHS and public bodies, leisure and retail, charities, agricultural Land, franchising, food & restaurants and development sites.

 

COMMERCIAL PROPERTY PARTNER:

Lets start with the basics - min 2:1 or equivalent/ A/B grades A 'levels, consistently good academic record, IT literate - working knowledge of Word/Outlook/TFB or equivalent. Experience of general commercial property work, for example property development, sales and purchases of investment properties including freeholds and leaseholds, grant and taking of leases, general management work, some corporate support work etc. This will be for a wide range of clients including small and medium sized businesses, large corporates and PLCs, charities and public-sector bodies including NHS organisations. Some residential sales knowledge would be beneficial, although there is very little involved in the role. Strong drafting and analytical skills with attention to detail, capable of producing written advice for clients which is to the point and competent grammar skills a must. On the softer side you will be user friendly, with excellent communication skills, provide support to less experienced members of the team and promote development of more junior team members. A willingness to proactively participate / contribute within the team & firm and in marketing activities such as presentations, writing articles, preparing tenders and attending networking events. This is a very senior role, which comes with responsibility and expectation, which will be highly rewarded for the right hire!
