JOB TITLE: Commercial Litigation Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: NQ – 1 year PQE
LOCATION: Staffordshire (Commutable of: Stoke on Trent, Macclesfield, Stafford, Crewe, Nantwich)
The appointed junior Commercial Litigation Solicitor will assist more senior members of the existing team on a wide range of disputes. The primarily focus of the team is to ensure that their client’s disputes are managed in the most costs effective and stress free way as possible. As well as being involved in the full litigation process, the Commercial Litigation Solicitor will also be encouraged to assist in negotiation, mediation and arbitration, with the aim to resolve disputes before they get to trial. It is intended that as the successful Commercial Litigation Solicitor will develop and slowly take on their own, small caseload. In addition, the successful Commercial Litigation Solicitor should expect to undertake business development and network in order to increase their profile as well as the firm’s profile.
The ideal Commercial Litigation Solicitor will be newly qualified or have up to one year of experience in commercial litigation. If the Solicitor is an NQ, they should have undertaken at least one seat in commercial litigation during their training contract. Ideally, the Commercial Litigation Solicitor should have gained their experience so far at another top 100 law firm. The Commercial Litigation Solicitor should have clear and confident communications skills, have a strong commercial acumen and be tenacious in their approach to a busy and challenging workload.
