JOB TITLE:                              Clinical Negligence Solicitor

PQE REQUIRED:                   NQ+ PQE

THE ROLE:

As appointed clinical negligence solicitor you will be managing your own challenging caseload of litigated and pre-litigated defendant clinical negligence claims, taking instruction from a range of NHS clients. You can expect to be drafting letters of response, witness statements and pleadings, instructing counsel and conducting your own negotiations and mediations. Outside of your own fee earning work you will be involved in training and mentoring junior colleagues and organising and presenting client seminars. You will also be involved marketing activities such as business development and article writing for external publications.

 

THE CANDIDATE:

We are looking for candidates with a range of PQE and can accommodate an NQ upwards. Experience in defendant clinical negligence work is ideal but strong experience within technically complex personal injury matters would be considered.  Strong candidates with  claimant clinical negligence experience will also be of interest. Candidates must be technically and academically strong with the ability to adhere to multiple tights deadlines. Impeccable communication and client management abilities are a must as is a demonstrable aptitude for negotiation and a clear sense of commercial acumen.
