JOB TITLE: Clinical Negligence Paralegal

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and highly ranked practice who are a leading provider of legal services to the health, social care and housing sectors, as well as in the field of professional discipline. This position will see you assisting a busy team of clinical negligence lawyers which will include helping a senior solicitor and others in the team with a range of tasks on their cases. This will include reviewing & drafting witness statements, drafting instructions to counsel, liasing with clients, courts, witnesses and NHS Trusts, reviewing medical records, analysing evidence received. There will also be the chance to run your own small portfolio of cases with assistance making this a fantastic opportunity to progress and develop your legal career in clinical negligence law. You will be provided with full support , supervision and training in this role.
In order to be successful for this position you must meet the below criteria:
- LPC or BVC qualification
- strong IT skills;
- current/recent healthcare experience;
- experience of navigating medical records and identifying key documentation;
- proven experience of handling own caseload;
- ability to adhere to and manage deadlines;
- good drafting and writing skills;
- good communication skills, and good administration skills.
You will also be expected to demonstrate that you are well organised, have good attention to detail, are proactive and self-motivated, being able to work on your own initiative.
