JOB TITLE:                    Childcare Solicitor

PQE REQUIRED:         2+ years

LOCATION:                  Tyne and Wear

SALARY:                        Competitive, commensurate on experience



As a childcare solicitor you will have full autonomy over your own caseload covering both public and privately funded cases. You can expect to be working on issues such as care proceedings, abduction, abuse, grandparents’ rights, special guardianship orders and cases involving social services. It is expected that you will also play an active role in the childcare department’s marketing and business development activities. This role comes with excellent opportunities for progression and the firm are happy to support the appointed childcare solicitor in applying for the Law Society’s children’s panel if desired.



We are looking for either experienced childcare solicitors or family solicitors with good experience in childcare work who are interested in focusing solely on this area. Candidates must have at least 2 years PQE and membership of the children’s panel is desirable but not essential. Candidates must also possess the empathetic abilities that the nature of this work calls for. A demonstrable desire to build upon the childcare team’s continuing success is also a must.
