JOB TITLE: Childcare Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 2 years+ PQE
The appointed Childcare Solicitor will take on their own caseload childcare and/or family work. The caseload will include private children law matters, domestic abuse cases, care proceedings and child neglect cases. In addition to the childcare aspect of the role, there will also be the possibility of undertaking some general family work including divorce, separation and financial related matters. The successful Childcare Solicitor will also be tasked with developing and maintain local and regional networks in an attempt to attract new business.
The successful Childcare Solicitor will have at least two years of post qualification experience and will be able to demonstrate the ability to handle their own caseload and work independently to some extent. The appointed Childcare Solicitor will be confident in working to short deadlines and will work well under pressure. It would be an advantage if the Childcare Solicitor is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel or is a current member of Resolution, although this is not an essential requirement. It is important that the appointed Childcare Solicitor is well rounded and has a pro-active and forward thinking abroad to their workload.
