Contentious Probate Partner (Head of Midlands Team) - Following Essential
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Contentious Probate Partner to take the lead in developing and growing a Midlands practice for a highly regarded law firm.
This is a key strategic appointment for an established practitioner with a strong following, excellent market connections and the vision to build a successful team. The firm is looking to appoint a Partner who can bring an established client base, develop new business opportunities and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the practice across the region.
The Role
You will take responsibility for leading the Midlands contentious probate offering, with the opportunity to develop the team, strengthen the firm's market presence and drive forward an ambitious growth strategy.
Your role will include:
Managing a caseload of complex contentious probate and inheritance disputes.
Advising on challenges to wills, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, disputes involving executors and trustees, and estate administration disputes.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients and professional referrers.
Bringing your established following and connections to generate new instructions and support the growth of the practice.
Identifying opportunities to recruit and develop additional team members as the department expands.
Working closely with the wider partnership to support the firm's strategic objectives.
The Candidate
Applications are invited from established Contentious Probate Partners or senior lawyers with a demonstrable track record of developing a successful contentious probate practice.
A strong following and established connections across the Midlands are essential. You will be commercially minded, entrepreneurial and confident in your ability to generate work, build relationships and establish a strong regional presence.
You will also have the leadership skills and ambition to develop a team, coupled with the technical expertise to handle complex and high-value contentious probate matters.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a Partner looking for a platform to grow their practice, with the scope to influence strategy, build a team and establish a leading presence in the Midlands market.
For the right individual, this represents an opportunity to make a real impact within a firm that recognises the value of an established following, strong professional relationships and ambitious leadership.
