Commercial Property Senior Associate/Associate – Gloucestershire

5+ PQE | Stroud / Gloucester | Hybrid Working

A well-established and forward-thinking law firm in Gloucestershire is looking to strengthen its Commercial Property team with the appointment of an experienced Senior Associate or Associate Solicitor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded property lawyer to join a growing team, take responsibility for a quality caseload and play an active role in the continued development of the department.

The role would suit a confident Commercial Property Solicitor who enjoys working closely with clients and is looking for a firm where they can build long-term relationships, develop their career and have genuine involvement in the growth of the practice.

The Role

You will handle a varied commercial property caseload, advising a broad range of businesses and commercial clients on matters including:

Commercial property acquisitions and disposals
Landlord and tenant matters
Commercial leases and associated documentation
Property management matters
Development and investment work
General commercial property transactions

You will be expected to provide clear, practical and commercially focused advice, working closely with clients to understand their objectives and deliver solutions that work for their business.

There is also a strong opportunity to become involved in business development and networking, developing existing client relationships and helping to generate new work for the department.

As a senior member of the team, you will also have the opportunity to support and mentor more junior lawyers and play an active role in maintaining the collaborative culture of the department.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have around 5+ years' PQE and have solid experience across a broad range of commercial property matters.

You will be:

An experienced Commercial Property Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with appropriate practice rights
Technically strong with a good understanding of commercial property and landlord and tenant law
Commercially aware and confident dealing directly with clients
Experienced in building and maintaining strong client relationships
Comfortable getting involved in networking and business development
A clear and confident communicator who can provide advice in straightforward, plain English
Well organised with excellent attention to detail
A supportive team player who is keen to contribute to the wider success of the department

This is a role where personality and commercial approach are just as important as technical ability. The firm is looking for someone who wants to become part of the team, build relationships and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the Commercial Property practice.
