Job Description
Residential Property Solicitor (Head of Department), 3+ Years PQE, West Midlands, £90,000+ (DOE) – This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious property professional who is already supervising or leading colleagues and is ready to take that experience into a formal leadership role. Equally, if you’re an experienced conveyancer who has the confidence and ambition to step up, we’d love to hear from you. REF:5283.
THE ROLE:
• You will combine your technical expertise with genuine people leadership, helping a talented team deliver an excellent service while playing an important part in the continued growth of the department.
• As Head of Residential Property, you’ll be much more than a senior fee earner. You will help set the tone for the team, support and develop colleagues, and work with the wider business to make sure we continue to deliver a high-quality, efficient and client-focused service.
• You will retain an appropriate level of your own caseload, keeping you close to the work and clients, while also having the opportunity to influence how the wider team operates.
• Have a voice in how the department operates, contributing ideas around workflow, technology, efficiency and client service.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications are sought from Residential Property Solicitors or Legal Executives with a minimum of 3 Years PQE looking for a new challenge in their career.
• You will be an experienced residential conveyancer with a strong understanding of the full conveyancing process and the confidence to take ownership.
• You will be responsible for managing a residential conveyancing caseload, including freehold and leasehold transactions, remortgages, transfers of equity and shared ownership.
• Supervising, mentoring or supporting colleagues and helping others develop.
• Handling complex issues calmly and finding practical solutions.
• Balancing technical quality and compliance with commercial and client-service considerations.
ON OFFER:
• Competitive salary & benefits package
• Hybrid & flexible working options
• Genuine career progression
