Employment Solicitor, 4+ Years PQE, Birmingham, £70,000+ (DOE) - This is an opportunity to work with an interesting and varied client base, advising businesses and organisations on the employment issues that matter most to them. REF:5012

THE ROLE:
• You’ll become part of a supportive, ambitious team where you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your work, build trusted client relationships and play an active role in the continued development of the practice.
• You’ll advise clients across the full range of employment matters, combining day-to-day advisory work with involvement in complex and potentially high-profile disputes.
• Providing practical advice on workplace issues, including restructures, redundancies, disciplinary and grievance matters, absence and performance management, TUPE and Settlement Agreements
• Handling Employment Tribunal litigation and supporting clients through more complex employment disputes and related proceedings
• Advising clients through sensitive workplace situations and investigations, balancing legal risk with commercial and reputational considerations
• Building lasting relationships with clients and becoming a trusted source of employment advice
• Supporting the development of junior lawyers through supervision, mentoring and sharing your technical expertise
• Contributing to the growth of the employment practice through networking, profile-raising and business development activity

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications are sought from Employment Solicitors with a minimum of 4 Years PQE
• Strong technical knowledge and experience across a broad range of employment law
• Confidence handling both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
• Experience managing Employment Tribunal claims and advising clients through disputes
• Strong interpersonal skills and a natural ability to establish trusted relationships with clients
• Experience supervising, coaching or mentoring junior colleagues
• A commercial outlook and enthusiasm for contributing to the wider success of a growing practice
