THE ROLE
The successful candidate will advise on a broad range of rural property matters, with work spanning acquisitions and disposals of agricultural land and estates, country houses and rural properties, easements, first registrations and ongoing estate management.
You will also advise on agricultural tenancies, planning matters, succession and generational change, the reorganisation of farming businesses and the diversification of rural landholdings, including renewable energy, mineral leases, and emerging natural capital opportunities. The role involves close collaboration with the firm's Private Client and Tax teams to provide clients with joined-up advice.
You will have the opportunity to manage transactions with a high degree of autonomy, supervise junior team members, and play an active role in developing the firm's Landed Estates practice through client relationship management, networking, articles, and events.

THE CANDIDATE
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with 3+ years’ PQE and a background in rural or agricultural property. You will have strong technical knowledge and the ability to manage transactions with a high degree of autonomy.
Experience or a keen interest in agricultural tenancies, unregistered land, manorial rights, environmental policy, and wider rural property matters would be advantageous. You will also demonstrate excellent interpersonal and client management skills, together with the ability to supervise and support junior colleagues. A proactive approach to business development and developing relationships with clients and professional referrers will be important.

THE FIRM
This highly regarded central London firm is consistently recognised by Chambers and Legal 500 for its specialist work with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. The team advises owners and buyers of agricultural estates and country properties across the UK, handling sophisticated transactions alongside complex estate management and advisory matters.

THE PACKAGE
Excellent salary and benefits package including 4x life assurance, permanent health insurance, private medical insurance, healthcare cash plan, health assessments, dental scheme, employee assistance programme, pension scheme, discretionary bonus and introduction bonus scheme, interest-free season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme, holiday purchase scheme, wellbeing programme and 25 days’ annual leave.
