JOB TITLE: Construction Solicitor (Contentious)

THE ROLE
An outstanding opportunity has arisen to join the highly regarded Construction team of a UK Top 50 law firm with a nationally recognised reputation for excellence. Working alongside leading construction specialists, you will advise a broad portfolio of clients on complex and high-value contentious construction matters across a variety of sectors.
Your work will include:
• Advising on a wide range of contentious construction disputes under JCT, NEC and other industry-standard construction contracts.
• Managing adjudications, litigation and arbitration proceedings from inception through to resolution.
• Delivering commercially focused, strategic advice on technically complex disputes.
• Collaborating with recognised experts on some of the market's most significant construction matters.
• Playing an active role in business development, strengthening existing client relationships while identifying new opportunities.
• Enjoying exposure to exceptional quality work with genuine opportunities for career progression within a growing national team.

THE CANDIDATE
Applications are invited from Construction Solicitors with at least 8 years' PQE gained within a well-regarded construction practice. You will possess strong technical expertise in contentious construction law and be confident handling complex disputes with minimal supervision.
You will also demonstrate:
• Extensive experience of adjudication, litigation and arbitration.
• The ability to manage a varied caseload while delivering practical, commercially focused advice.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and client relationship management skills.
• A proactive approach to business development and networking.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively as part of a high-performing team.
