Job Description

Personal Injury Solicitor (Defendant), 4+ PQE, London, £70,000 - £80,000 (DOE) - This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing and fast-expanding practice acting for major insurers and policyholders on a broad range of complex and high-value claims. JOB REF:4359.

THE ROLE:
• Manage your own caseload of defendant EL/PL claims
• Assist partners on complex and high-profile litigation
• Handle pre-action and litigated personal injury and property damage claims
• Advise on regulatory investigations and prosecutions involving the HSE, police and CQC
• Attend coroner’s inquests
• Assist with policy coverage disputes and interpretation issues
• Work on claims ranging from fast-track matters through to multi-million-pound, multi-party disputes
• Dealing primarily with instructions from insurers on behalf of policyholders, plus direct non-insurance related instructions.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Applications are sought from Defendant Personal Injury Solicitors with a minimum of 4 Years PQE.
• Strong experience handling Employer’s Liability and Public Liability claims
• Excellent technical and drafting ability
• Strong commercial awareness and client relationship skills
• A proactive, ambitious and organised approach
• Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills
