Job Description
•You will manage a full caseload of Court of Protection (welfare) matters, providing clear legal advice, strong client care, and effective communication with vulnerable clients and stakeholders.
•The appointed Solicitor will support wider community care, housing, and public law work as needed, including handling correspondence, negotiations, advocacy, and ensuring compliance with Legal Aid Agency requirements.
•You will contribute to a growing and highly regarded Social Welfare team by maintaining accurate case management, staying up to date with legal developments, and assisting with supervision and administrative processes where appropriate.
•Applications are open to qualified solicitors or legal executives with a minimum of one year experience in Court of Protection (welfare) law, including experience acting for “P” via litigation friends or family members in proceedings.
•The firm is looking for lawyers with knowledge of Legal Aid funding and CCMS, with desirable experience in privately funded work, alongside excellent written, oral, and telephone communication skills.
•The firm offers a competitive salary and 25 days of holiday entitlement, increasing to 28 days after three years and 30 days after five years.
