OVERVIEW:
• Join a well established criminal defence department handling a broad and varied caseload of criminal matters.
• Advise and represent clients at all stages of the criminal process including police station attendances, Magistrates’ Court proceedings and preparation of cases progressing to the Crown Court.
• Undertake Duty Solicitor work as part of the firm’s rota.
• Manage your own caseload with appropriate support while delivering clear, practical advice to clients in often challenging circumstances.
• Gain strong exposure to hands on advocacy and build trusted client relationships within the local community.
• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2 years’ PQE and Duty Solicitor accreditation.
• Experienced in handling a range of criminal defence matters and confident undertaking police station and court work independently.
• Strong communicator with a calm, professional approach and a genuine commitment to criminal defence.
• A collaborative team player motivated to contribute to the continued success and reputation of the department.
• Well established criminal defence practice with a strong presence across Merseyside.
• Long standing reputation for representing clients at every stage of the criminal process.
