JOB TITLE: Commercial Property Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: NQ-2
LOCATION: East Sussex
SALARY: £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE)
THE ROLE:
An opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join an expanding commercial property and development team. This role will involve managing a varied caseload of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, refinances and landlord and tenant work, alongside exposure to development transactions.
You will be advising clients on a range of commercial property and development issues, drafting and negotiating leases, sale and purchase agreements, overage and promotion agreements, options, pre-emption agreements and development documentation. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced senior lawyers while developing your own caseload and client relationships. The team has a strong collaborative ethos and supports continued professional growth within a structured and transparent career framework.
THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with up to two years’ post-qualification experience in commercial property. Exposure to development work, including option or promotion agreements and section 106 matters, would be advantageous but is not essential. You will demonstrate strong drafting and negotiation skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage your time effectively across multiple matters. A proactive and positive approach, together with a genuine enthusiasm for developing your technical expertise, will be key.

PACKAGE:
