The Role
• Manage and progress care proceedings from initial instruction through to final hearings.
• Advise clients on special guardianship applications and wider public children law matters.
• Conduct your own advocacy and represent clients at court.
• Provide clear, empathetic, and practical advice to vulnerable clients in complex and sensitive situations.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and support the continued growth and success of the family department.

The Candidate
• Minimum of 1 year’s PQE as a Childcare Solicitor.
• Experience managing a caseload of public children law matters.
• Confident advocate with the ability to represent clients effectively in court.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in clear and reassuring terms.
• Calm, empathetic and professional approach when working under pressure.
