Job Description
THE ROLE
- Manage an investigatory caseload concerning registrants’ fitness to practise.
- Handle issues involving misconduct, competence or health concerns.
- Prepare cases for hearings before relevant panels or committees.
- Work on a varied and challenging mix of matters including large-scale fraud, multi-patient clinical failings and inappropriate or sexualised conduct.
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 4 years’ PQE with experience in professional discipline, regulatory law, healthcare law or criminal litigation.
- Strong analytical, organisational and case management skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and high-volume environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in evidential analysis, legal drafting and procedural strategy.
- Confident in witness management and client liaison.
- Advocacy or tribunal representation experience is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of the Health and Social Care regulatory framework is an advantage.
- Highly regarded Legal 500 national practice.
- Known for expertise in regulatory and professional discipline work.
- Extensive experience acting for regulatory and public sector clients.
- Recognised for delivering high-quality, timely and proportionate legal services across multiple professional sectors.
