Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Advising clients on all aspects of Court of Protection law
• Drafting and submitting applications to the Court of Protection, including welfare and financial deputyships, statutory wills, and gift applications.
• Managing a diverse caseload with a focus on achieving the best outcomes for clients, while ensuring compliance with the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Providing sensitive and practical guidance on financial management, personal welfare, and making decisions on behalf of individuals lacking capacity.
• Keeping up to date with developments in Court of Protection law and attending relevant training and seminars.
SKILLS REQUIRED
• Applications are sought from Court of Protection Solicitors with up to 3 Years PQE.
• Proven experience in dealing with Court of Protection matters
• Excellent client care skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach
• Strong communication and drafting skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and sometimes complex matters.
• A team player with the ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
