JOB TITLE: Shipping Solicitor
PQE REQUIRED: 1+ year
LOCATION: Newcastle

THE ROLE:
Joining this market leading team you will be handling a wide range of shipping law matters such as recoveries, vessel arrests, bill of lading disputes as well as advising on sales & acquisitions, commercial transactions and contract reviews. Your client base will include P&I Clubs, shipping companies, freight forwarders, ports and terminals. Working closely with senior specialist colleagues, you will gain relevant support to further your skills within Shipping Law and can expect to be assisting on some complex work.

THE CANDIDATE:
Suitable candidates will have at least 12 months PQE in Shipping law, gained in another leading national or city team and have top class academics. You will have a proven track record in handling disputes for major commercial organisations, ideally within the shipping and maritime sector. Personally, you will be a strong communicator and team player with an aptitude for networking and business development.
