• This is an unmissable opportunity for an experienced litigator to join a highly reputable, national firm. You will join a team of exceptional people, who have benefited from high level training and have a wealth of experience.
• Applications are sought from Litigation Solicitors or Chartered Legal Executives with circa 5 years' or more PQE gained with another reputable law firm.
• Thorough understanding of the CPR, SRA policies and relevant codes of practice is essential.
• Contentious Probate experience is desirable.
• The role will involve:
• Manging your own caseload
• Conducting pre-claim investigation, legal research and initial case assessments
• Advising clients on contentious matters
• Drafting pleadings, statements of case and pre-issue documentation and filing with the court
• Attending court and conferences with or without counsel
• Organising exhibits, documents, evidence, and briefs
• Supporting other fee earners on large and complex claims
• Supervising junior colleagues
• It is essential that you have exceptional communication skills, work well within a team environment and are confident supervising more junior members of the team. You should also have business development experience and be keen to assume networking and BD responsibilities.
