This thriving firm in the Midlands are actively seeking the addition of a Criminal Solicitor to manage their own caseload and assist the Head of Department in more complex matters. JOB: Criminal Solicitor (Full time or Part time)
LOCATION: Warwickshire
PQE: 3+ PQE
SALARY: Up to £40,000 (£DOE)
THE ROLE:
The successful Criminal Solicitor will undertake fee earning work on behalf of clients in the field of criminal law and represent them both in court and at the police station. To work in accordance with the office manual and promote the firm in all areas at all times. The appointed Criminal Solicitor will act as an advocate in court on a wide variety of cases. You will prepare cases for Crown Court and represent clients at police stations, to act as a Duty Solicitor and work outside office hours as necessary. The firm are open to candidates looking for full time and part time and both will be considered in the application process.
EXPERIENCE:
Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors that have at least 3 years PQE as a qualified Duty Criminal Solicitor, although the firm are also open to hear from newly qualified Criminal Solicitors. You will be flexible and be willing to travel and work from any of the firm’s offices and attend Court at different locations. The appointed Solicitor will have a sound knowledge of Criminal law and be able to undertake appropriate continuing of education to update and retain that knowledge. Higher Rights of Audience would be desirable and you must be duty qualified. You will need excellent management, communication and organisational skills, proficiency in IT and have a polite and patient manner.
