Have you ever considered a career with the Crown Prosecution Service?

eNL Legal Recruitment are working in partnership with the Crown Prosecution Service on their current recruitment requirements, with positions available nationwide.  We are fully retained by the CPS for this campaign and can offer guidance, support and coaching throughout the process.

Who are the Crown Prosecution Service?

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) prosecutes criminal cases that have been investigated by the police and other investigative organisations in England and Wales. The CPS is independent, and we make our decisions independently of the police and government. Their duty is to make sure that the right person is prosecuted for the right offence, and to bring offenders to justice wherever possible. Their service employs over 6,000 individuals who think objectively, act professionally, show the utmost respect for others and continually strive for excellence. They offer employees the opportunity to have a very real impact on society, the freedom to use your judgement and the chance to experience challenging and varied work. All in a supportive environment that is invested in seeing you make the most of your life inside work and out.

What positions do they have available?

eNL Legal Recruitment are currently recruiting for the Crown Prosecution Service on a range of positions from Crown Prosecutors to Senior Crown Prosecutors across various locations in the UK.

What experience is required?

You may be forgiven for thinking that you would need criminal law experience however due to the exceptional training and mentoring programme offered by the CPS, this is no longer the case! A combination of induction training, bespoke training modules, mentoring and on-the-job coaching makes a career as a Crown Prosecutor much more accessible to lawyers considering a change in direction.  A genuine interest in criminal prosecutions, coupled with the qualification of Solicitor or Barrister are the basic requirements.
