THE ROLE:

This national and international firm has the largest tax team in the UK and advises clients on all contentious and non contentious tax issues. This market leading contentious tax team regularly advises listed companies, foreign owned companies, public sector bodies and institutional investors on what steps to take to avoid a tax dispute with HMRC arising and, where disputes arise, how to secure the most favourable outcome in an efficient and cost effective manner.   This position will offer you the opportunity to work on the very best tax disputes work and involvement in the most high profile and ground breaking tax disputes.  You will also be given early responsibility and opportunities to develop client relationships.

 

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful Tax Litigation Solicitor will have gained a good range of experience of tax work during their training contract at a City firm or large regional practice, coupled with a good academic background. The appointed Tax Litigation Solicitor must be technically excellent but equally important, commercially aware and enthusiastic about business development. You will be a team player with a strong client focused approach and have excellent communication/organisational skills. Importantly you will be comfortable working both as part of a team on large transactions as well as handling your own matters with support from colleagues.
